Five- oh swap into an e30.

Small update: New headers are going on tomorrow.

An exhaust is being built before H2o as well. Well, to be clear, just 3" piping to 4" polished blast pipes.

Also my dad said no the daily I was going to buy(r31), so I'm buying a new engine to build. And I figured that 1 turbo has been done before, and EFI is a little played, so a friend most of you have seen on here will be helping me with this new endeavor

Too bad mine only has a 2.3l Mustang short block. (The turbo makes up for it a little though)



Ignore some of the shitty wiring and stuff across engine. Some things are still being changed.

Just went through all thirty pages hoping for some more info on the hydraulic slave cylinder you put on the T-5.

Do you have any photos of how its installed and how it works? I have a 302 with T-5 in my FC Rx7 and the slave cylinder that we put in is leaking a bit onto the exhaust and smokes lol. I am debating on upgrading to this same setup but have no idea how it bolts in or works or anything.

Any info you have would be awesome... Great build btw

I see that you've got this installed allready, but I read later that you had some problems with the pullrod touching to some old cable mounting and scraping metal flakes in to the cylinder.

I have a gearbox from Opel/Vauxhal Omega (which has allso been with cable operated clutch) in my Saab Aero powered e30 project and my clutch is operated by similiar slave cylinder. So I thought I might post a picture here of my setup.


It's oily because I had just aired it out before bolting in and taking the picture. I cut the old cablemount off and made a mount which was bolted in with oilpan bolts. So i could install the cylinder as I thought it was supposed to. I was thinking the same way to install it as I imagine you've done it, but didn't dare to leave it without that rubber cover sleeve thing (what ever it is called)

Ford Racing rms
Ford Racing oil pan gasket
High-end racing thermostat
Copper exhaust gaskets
A few other gaskets and stuff I can't be bother to look for in the box 3 feet away. I'm tired, deal with it.

Turbo?! Things are getting serious! What is the benefit to the alternator bracket?

It's because I'm running no accessories or anything, so I had to rig up the belt tensioner to tension the other way. This kit is the proper way to do things, and deletes the tensioner. You essentially tension the belt with that threaded piece you see.

And of course that.

Rear main seal is leaking like crazy, lowish compression, etc etc.


Probably injection when the time comes, planning on MS.
