sorry to those who have read my thread im now out of work so updates have really slowed, managed to get some bits like a 325 m50 inlet manni inc fitting kit for less than 69 quid off ebay(total cheap bargain) and a short shifter kit and new chrome gearknob plus polybush set for the front end.

mot time next month so mods will have to wait for now unfortunately

Cheers guys and yes the ambers will return once I get some decent oem rears to replace the m3 rears.

Really need new wheels im sick of bbs rims now so Hopefully job permitting I will address that.

                            Nice.

Go to work and mount that intake manifold. Do you plan to remap it?

Got my shortshifter kit today also and newer bluetooth headunit as im building a stereo install this year.

Right before anyone comments shes raised ready for a mot next month as i cant get on any mot station ramps at my usual ride height so please excuse the 40mm raise for now it will go back down after it passes hopefully

                                Right big update-arches time

Been planned ever since the beginning of the project and im lucky in that mine are rock solid on the rears and 99% perfect up front so today with help from kev318bmw we attacked the rears with a borrowed arch roller and my wifes hairdyer and went very very well and no cracked paint or any dramas at all but bloody cold and hard work doing it but heres the pics throughout the day.

                                9am start

i already attacked the sealant inside the inner arch liner before kev arrived so it was straight to work.my plan was roll to my 8.5 rears with a 215/40/17 Tyre on a 20mm spacer to give enough clearance for any future updates and if ive worked it right(stu, matt, damien, suj please help me on this)possible rear fitments of et10 on a 205/40/17 or et16s ish on a 215/40/17 in future.the arches were deseiled and rolled as flat as we dared with a minimal flare without risking cracked paint or stupid flares to try to keep an oem look as much as we could:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

think i can run 215s on a 9j rear without catching now or adjust camber to make sure(disco stu mate i need you to sort this out maybe buddy)but the wheels im looking at are et26 or 35s i cant decide yet but now i have more options as i have raised the rears 10mm now to give me this plus a pic for abm to show ive started stripping the boot and temp wiring for now.

right enough crap let the pics do the talking

then finished with a 20mm spacers fitted and no rubbing .......just(15mm would be imo safer )

                                :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thum bsup:thumbsup

                                then back to 6mm rear spacers on 215/40/17 on a 8.5 rc042

Now this project really steps up a notch and m50 manni, short shifter kit, bushes etc etc and mot to do soon and once a job i find hopefully soon the new wheel choice will break cover

watch this space theres a lot more in this project yet to come
