Things are slowly coming together. Still need to order my pistons, gaskets, and ITBs. Everything else is here and ready to go. For now I will be leaving the stock valve train in so I can attempt to pass emissions then I will swap out to the 304 cams and dual valve springs.
I'm also still deciding exactly what ECU I will be running. I like the AEM EMS4 but I'm limited to 4 cylinders should I upgrade in the future. I'm debating on just keeping the 4AG in the car permanently and focusing in the body next.

Well another big update! I sold the 4AGE. Cost of ITBs and standalone were to great for the crappy power output I was going to get. I know, I know. I have changed my mine several times but I figured if I'm every going to get this this running I need to do it the way I want the first time.
I have since decided to stick with my original plan. The S15 SR20DET was delivered yesterday. Will stay 100% stock minus a small turbo upgrade to a GT2860. With the stock ECU and the stock 480cc injectors I estimate 320-350whp. I may keep it down to 300whp though to keep it more reliable. Because of the increase in power I am also building the 8.8 rear end again. Will still continue to be a slow go but I still expect a reveal around springtime.
I also ordered a engine cradle with the rack and pinion conversion along with a custom radiator from Cary (1JZRA21). Don't know why I did not do this. So hyped to get them in the mail.
Here is a shot of the motor when I started tear down. Putting in new pistons, rings, and all the gaskets and bearings to ensure it runs smooth for years to come!

I'm keeping the stock intake manifold. You actually lose power by upgrading those if your not using a GT30+ turbo. And the stock injectors are 480cc which is plenty for the power i want. Staying stock electronics also. Just using a standalone harness which I had made. The S15 did come with a T28 which maxes out at 310ish whp. Im upgrading to a 2860 which is good for 350ish+ so i dont have to max out the turbo to make 300whp.
This is not a 240 trying to be a RACECAR.

The new head showed up today. Was crazy clean for being used. Should have the new pistons hopefully by the end of next week, then ill be taking the block to the machine shop. Hoping to have it all together by the first of next month.

Picked up a SR Transmission yesterday, and took it to get a full rebuild (Bearings, syncros, gaskets, and seals).
Also got the explorer 8.8 tore down so I can swap to a mustang housing. Sadly the new 93 Cobra rear disc brakes would not bolt up to the Explorer housing ends. Keeping my TrakLoc and Ring Gear. Just swapping housings.
Picked up the new 8.8 this morning. Also found out the ring and pinion I have was supposed to be a 4.10 but had been swapped out for a Ford Racing 3.73 so a big bonus. It should work perfectly with the SR and be great for highway cruising.

Well it's about time for an update!
Finally, after a 15 month wait of finding someone dependable that could complete the work this showed up on my doorstep today....
My tubular subframe, new steering setup, and custom Griffin radiator for the S15 swap are here!
All thanks go to Cary Miller in California. Built these items on his car then shipped them to me. Pricey but well worth it considering all I have been through.
The new S15 swap should be here next month. Beefed up new SR Trans is here already. Still several little things to get done but the end is near!
Still unsure if I will be able to get the body restored right now but at least she will be running.
