Ha. I'm no purist but the S15 SR is a great motor and could put down around 310whp on the stock turbo which is plenty of power for this car. I wouldn't feel bad if I went that route. Exploring LS1 options also

The bumpers run anywhere from $500-1500 a set. Hell almost every part for this car is hard to find so everyone prices them as gold.

and if your looking for info try toymods.org it woulda saved you the hassle with ae86 crossmember

and for parts still a few over here in OZ so you have options

You guys kill me. SR20 is okay in anything but a Toyota? I don't get it. F20C makes 100 less horsepower than S15 SR and has been done several times!!! SR I have have only seen twice. I'm trying to be different.

The 2JZ won't fit and beams 3S has no aftermarket support in the US. 4AG has no power.

It's either a SR or LS1. And since I build my cars for me I really don't care what anyone else thinks. You know you'll love it when it's done regardless of the drivetrain.

Yet everyone would be ok if it was a S2000 motor or LS1? Whats the difference? It's just another motor. It performs well and looks good. I really dont see what the big deal is. I'll have all the Nissan stuff shaved off of it anyway.

The car is a tin can on wheels. My corolla only weights 2000lbs. A supercharged mr2 or turbo mr2 motor would make it haul ass. I bet your car weights less then mine.

With the SR and full interior it will weigh 1850lbs. 300whp should be perfect. .
