  • Just fitted a new lambda probe, so needs the tires fitted and will do the rear disc's and pads as soon as
I have my jack, then i will book it in for a retest. kind of thinking now how I want to keep her on the road after all the effort of getting a pass. Won't have to car share so much with the missus that way and I can still do the Turbo just over a couple of weekends/have a week off work. The new clutch will require the flywheel being surface ground and a 450 mile break in period anyway, so I need Her to be legit for that really.

    • Passed! On a free retest, will be able to afford road tax now
Got a few advisories: Offside rear anti roll bar linkage has slight play, service brake only just met requirements (New cables? calipers?) Different size tires fitted to front axle then rear and my personal favourite : Front tires very close to bodywork 8)

Or did you just scoot them up for the giggles?

                          (the seats look good btw)

                            • Right back to work now after an awesome week off and they have fixed my turning lathe. As we are quite quiet at the moment thought I was a good for some homework. Time to give this car the nice & sexy wheels She deserves, so I decided to machine the dish on them, so they will have polished/machined dishes & lips with gold centers.

Only took a very light skim, have 3 more to do like this then I will reset the machine to skim the outer lip and put them on the hand lathe and blend the radius and create a nice bead on the outer edge. Will edit more pics into this post as I progress with them.

All four wheels at this stage now:

                              • Got this one ready for paint now after a quick lunchtime emery & paraffin session. Also I spent 5hrs on Saturday sorting out my Mum's garage where I used to live to do the spraying in. Not quite finished with the polish yet I guess a bit of autosol wouldn't go a miss...and this is worst alloy for having a slightly bent edge where the cutting tip missed it and few curb dents here & there.
