Small Block Chevy E36. Built In Six Short Weeks.

The bay is about 95% done. This is pretty much everything you'll see when the hood is popped.

I'm gonna have to take a real camera with me tonight, my iphone sucks with the lighting I've got in there.

I've been sidetracked working on a few cars that are paying jobs so that I can fund this, but my brother has been chugging along well in my absence...

Do you think you would have been able to clear the hood if you used a stock 4 barrel manifold. Are'nt they about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the Edelbrock?

I'm sure I can get the hood to clear. Initially time was an issue, there wasn't ample time available to mess with it. Now, with ideas of a turbo I'm not gonna mess with the intake setup at all since everything will change with that. I did remove a 1" carb spacer so that should bring it down so it doesn't look white as awkward. If i ever stumble on a damaged e46 m3 hood, cutting the "bubble" out and molding it to my hood would give me the space I need. I don't really want to run a stock intake, but if it comes down to it I might.

Cosmetically. The exterior is 80% done. The Bay is 90% done. Tons of loose ends to tie up on the interior, and a few under the car and we'll be back on the road!

Well. I got a bit lucky in recent weeks....

I bought a rough e36 coupe to fix up and flip, turns out it had Vaders, a 3:91 LSD, among many other goodies. (Dinan Ecu, Bav auto coilpacks, oem ///M bumper, unknown aftermarket exhaust, clear top tails etc...)

My car got the vaders, and the lsd. A friend wanted the exhaust and a few other things so I got a full ///M brake setup in exchange. My brothers sorted out the rest, we put stock parts on the car and got rd of it

All of these things slowed completion of the car, but I'm very happy that I got them and since its still February I can afford to lose a little time.

That worked out good! And for a non-bmw guy.... Im guessing Vaders are the seats? They do remind me of Darth Vader

Yes, the seats are an m3 seat known as vaders. I'm assuming it's due to that resemblance haha. I was hoping to score some stock black leathers at some point but very pleased to find these especially when I paid hardly more for the whole car than the seats inside were worth!
