      Well, it's been awhile....

Had a blast at h2o, broke some stuff playing with the car the following week.

Here's a set of pics of the car before tearing apart for winter....

One last moment of fun before taking the car to my shop to tear into it:

And now, many, many changes underway for next year: Shaved and tucked engine bay, interior overhaul, new wheels, suspension etc....

Refinishing these wheels took forever. I'm usually good at getting things done fast but this was a long slow process....Definitely pleased with the final product though.

Relocating fuse box under driver's dash... not a fun process but a worthwhile process!

When you redo it, make a cowl hood based on the stock hood contours.

Would hide the air cleaner and would look awesome.

Matt, I will likely be throwing a turbo or two on the car before too long so the intake setup will change and I Think it'll fit under the hood.

I tried cutting the center section from a junk hood and welding it on like a cowl and it looked awful. Maybe it was poor execution but we were not impressed and scrapped the whole idea.

Fow now I'll have to deal with it sticking through as there isn't much of a point in changing anything up if major engine changes are on their way.

              A few small updates:

Front seats ready to go in...I tore them apart, cleaned them with alcohol, heated the covers up and painted them with a vinyl paint I've had good experience with. If it doesn't hold up, oh well. But it should be find for how little I drive the car.

Got the rear suspension touched up and put the wheels on the ground for the first time in months: (4x4 status whoaaa)

And the engine bay is almost ready for paint:

I'm hoping to have the car pretty much together by the end of next week, I'll be starting a second job soon to fund some remodeling (and some boost. Shh, don't tell) so free time will be slim after that. Being that I'll have no time, I'm going to spend any extra moments I get in the next week getting things accomplished.

Almost time to get the engine back in!

My Uncle is the best painter in the bunch of us so he does the honors:

Getting friends to do the dirty work (Valve seals, cleaning the heads, lapping valves, fun stuff.)

Waiting on some packages to "rebuild" the front suspension so to speak and hopefully next week things start coming together and it looks like a car again!

                        Getting some work done lately...

Passenger side doors re-hung after sill touchup, and M3 mouldings.

                        Two-tone Black/Tan Interior coming together

                        Suspension Overhaul

                        Engine Beautification

The only brake lines that will be seen in the bay.

Access holes covered, Bay ready for the engine.

Hopefully we'll have the engine back in by the end of the night Friday, then the rest of the pieces can fall into place much easier.

you should sand prime n paint the exposed break lines. IMO they will blend in with the white
