we have started mapping the engine on the dyno! but this was not all problem free ofcourse ;P
it started with the dry sump tank throwing oil out of the air vent at 4000+ rpm.. so i had to make a new insert! lucky i have a top lid almost as big as the tank is!
so all i had to do was to make a new insert, weld it up to the old lid and drop it into the tank

this is it, the pice to the left is put inside the pipe on the right, witch is then lowerd into the tank

once this was done the tank works perfect! not a drop of oil out of the airvent!
then we hit the next problem.. one of the controller cards in the dyno computer is broken! so it refuses to read WCF and boost pressure.. and as it got worse over a few pulls started getting an error at a little over 5000 rpm. so we had to give up :/
new cards is orderd, but delivery time + christmas etc = no more dyno before january!
the numbers we got before it gave in..
17-18 psi at 3000 rpm = 500nm @ the wheels!
thats to much pressure for a unmapped engine so we got the boost stable at 13-14 psi after that and he went on doing his thing..
this is a pic of one of the last pulls before the dyno gave up, as i said, it didnt want to go above 5300 rpm!
Turbo pressure set at about 13-14 psi.. the pull before this lasted a bit longer and gave 585 nm @ wheels

The dyno guy is very impressed so far! he say every time he has a good built volvo 16v hes amazed of how much power they give at low pressure! and insane tourqe! he is also impressed by the VE of 120%

i cant wait to double the pressure and take it up 3000-3500 rpm more in january
