I can't get over how good this car looks. You've got some great skills to do all this work yourself, props. Hope to see this thing in person some day.

i took a video last week when i took the car out for a spin before disassembling it. the sound apparently was so loud, the microphone couldnt catch it. Time to get a go pro and make another attempt in a few weeks.
i also took this vid with my iphone 4 while sitting in my driveway, and i lowered the sound all the way down on the phone, and aimed the phone at the floor. the car in real life is much much louder and has quite a bit more roar, but you get the idea. it was idling, and I only revved the car up to 3800rpm, no higher in this video. better videos to come.
i do have to say, that the sound is spectacular and i cant compare it to anything out there. and in a few months, its about to sound even a little more raw. It is far louder then the video can portray but you get the idea...

I joined this forum, just for this car. I LOVE it!
Let's hope that ITBs are really the plan. I've always dreamt of having ITBs in my car. I also own a '92 n/a slicktop. I'll post pics of mine soon.
Have you heard Escort Japan's n/a drag car? I'll see if I can find the video again, but the sound of that car is... well... just awesome!
Here's an old pic I've saved for years: (I have a few more if you're interested)

haha, yep that was one of my inspirations for the project. that car runs 10s in na form (with nitrous) which is absolutely nuts. I have a whole folder of pictures of that beast, but surprisingly have never seen the specific picture you posted there.
welcome to the SW forum btwsigpic

I know this is your 4th or so coil setup, are you happy with it?
I assume the shocks have been custom valved to accomodate, is there any body roll cornering or dive when braking enthusiastically? or assuming that thing goes like it sounds, squat when accelerating?
I know you said that you still rub a bit, under what circumstances?
sorry about all the questions but I'm seriously interested in revalving and increasing the spring rates on my kw variant 3's
for some reason I feel the need to reiterate every time I post in this thread how incredible this car is, the effort and the result
well done sir
