BITCH ASS: A Build of Average Proportions and Modest Income
Plasti-Dipped the rear bumper's center section. I sprayed it so the color and texture would match the Cupra lip up front.
Also lowered the rear of the car a bit more. 20/75" front, 21.25" rear. Here's how it sits as of today. It sat like this for the drive to Cape Cod, which totaled about 180 miles. The car only burned about 4-4.5 gallons of gas the whole way.
ahh, 8 pages later.. ive learned you have a strong attention to detail lol. glad you broke out of your bubble and dumped that shiet on 16's man, i was like literally getting frustrated lmao. get wider wheels next, something with a lip would set it up... im thinking something shiny=)

Hahaha, thank you, it has come a long way. I try to pay attention to the small things in everything I do, it's what makes a car stand out. As far as wheels go, I may stick with these and widen them, or I'll be looking for another solution to my wheel issue over the winter.
I've learned a lot since then. My posts did not reflect it (I always type quite angrily ), but I was not terrifically mad with that thread. It sucked to have my car get bashed, but I could understand why. I've had a vision in my head for this car for years, so at the time, people were only ripping up what I saw as an unfinished product, no big deal. While it has changed a bit here and there, the idea I have for this car is still alive and well in my brain.
Thank you for the encouragement! While a lot of the scene has changed in the last few years, OGs like you are still around to make it worth the trouble.
Hahaha, calling me a OG is a little too much thanks tho!
Also i would love to see that car on some borbet type t's, think they would be very fitting.

I have been searching for Type Ts since I had my Contour, actually. So far, it has ben a 5-year search for 16x8-9s in 4x108 at the right time for the right price. This car and those wheels have been like two ships passing in the night.
Really, though, I appreciate the encouragement a lot!
Here is a shot I took of my car last night in front of the Goodspeed Opera House while driving home after picking up a set of headers I'll be modifying for a client.
Sepia edit of the same shot.
I think I'm going to go back at some point this week with a real camera. That place is INCREDIBLE for night shots.
Also, moar wheels. Consider them for sale, though I do plan to paint them performance silver so they look like RPF-1s and run them for a while if I get a chance. There are other wheels that take MUCH higher priority over these, though. They're cheap, shitty wheels, but I've wanted to try tucking wheel on 17s for some time.
