I got started on a dash, not sure if I'm gonna use this piece of aluminum or buy a new sheet. Small imperfections dont really matter to me because I'm gonna wrap it in suede.

I finished the most difficult part of the build these past few days, something we had been dreading since the start of the build, The rear spindle/brake modifications.

Well, I finished up the custom toe arms, pretty happy with how they turned out

Got my front 6-piston Wilwood calipers mocked up.

My new front rotors are on their way. Same diameter, but 1.25" thick

The faces have been surfaced for clearance off the wheel. Then i polished them, although its difficult to tell

Wrote a program on the mill to surface the rear spindle and make room for the 1/2" adapter plate

Got gas and took the g out on a rain streetmission

Assembled, installed, and filled up the GTO rear differential

Got the aircraft fasteners finished on the rear tin. This my favorite part of the car besides the wheels

The fit, finish, and tension of these things are unmatched. I'm gonna be very upset the first time i tap the wall and this stuff shifts barely

The airjack, fuel cell, and diff are fully mounted now, along with my new Odyssey battery, I made an aluminum 3/8" strap to hold it down and polished it up. Pretty happy with the outcome

Wrote another program for the aforementioned caliper mounts using some1/2" 6061 aluminum plate

Everything lined up perfectly

Took dad to Robertos before we tapped the holes and mounted all the brakes up. We ordered a couple Flying Saucers

Came back to the shop and started hub assembly, The plate sitting in place without any bolts

Mounted the the plate and caliper, then threw it onto the car and mounted the wheel up. Theres about 8mm of clearance

thats all for now. I have some pretty exotic stuff in the works for my rear axles. Lets just say it involves a Porsche 911.
Tomorrow the dash will have the sides all welded up and i can finish it up and have my buddy taylor wrap it in black suede.
And I'm expecting my cut loom to show up this week sometime

Last night i got everything done on the car to get it back on the ground.

First, I made some spacers for the rear caber bar to replace the oem one. My new one uses 5/8" chromoly heims and the stock hardware, so these also doubled as a reducer to the 12mm bolt

Next, I flared some holes in my dash that can later be used to defog the windshield if i need to mount a blower underneath later on.

The dash needed something to break it up so its not so plain.

My new steering angle with the Mazdatrix rack spacers. All these do is allow the rack to have more travel.

Right now the tie rod extension touches the spindle, but thats an easy fix to get a couple more degrees

Welded the sideplate to the dash this afternoon and got started on the intake piping.

Disregard the huge weld, .040 isnt very easy to weld and I wanted to make sure theres enough meat to sand it perfectly smooth before upholstery.
