      • DIY FTMFW! love it man, particularly the removable front. i wish id done this when i was building my e21, it was a nightmare getting that engine in and out haha. looks like it will free up more room for the radiator too any make it a tad lighter i suspect as well?

also, excellent engine purchase. it will annoy the purists, but as this isn't a concourse oem restoration project, the extra ponies will be a thousand times better than keeping the original heart imo.

        keep it up

        • Thanks^. I'm guessing the weight is probably about even to the original sheet metal, but more rigid and removable .

Thanks a lot though! I have followed the mintruck vids from the beginning love everything you're doing.

            • you should def. try to tie in the front end with your cage. go right to the front shock towers im sure youve noticed by now, 2002's are pretty weak chassis wise. not a lot of torsional rigidity. with the s2000 motor youre gonna need it! exceptional build! btw, a little tuck was by far the best looking especially with the size of the rims.

                    • Can't wait to see this thing in paint, what colour are you going to paint it?

                      • parttimeprojectionist- Yeah I'm really thinking about connecting it all up. I'm going to see if I can get it all done in time and try to tie the front in.

Thanks everyone and I'm thinking just a simple gloss black for the paint.

I boxed my rear trailing arms and notched them so I can run spacerless since as I agree with everyone it looks the best. I welded heavy on the inside of the notch so these should be VERY strong!
