Wow, just wow. I just spent my work morning reading through this build. I so appreciate the amount of time you have put into this and into showing us what you have done. Subscribed for sure!
having read all the way through the thread in a few hours, i now ask myself where you'd get all that know how? you seem to be going to school or so and are not a professional mechanic in any way, are you? i'm currently thinking of getting an own project in winter. however, i don't really know how shits done so i wondered if i could teach things myself. let me know what you think, what your experiences are. would be a trial and error kinda thing for me i guess.
big ups for the build, reading all this killed my eyes. sry for spelling, i'm not a native speaker. big ups...
btw, grey wheels > gold wheels. more classic look. kills it *.*

Well first off..... its not for everyone.
I really have no background and just started getting into this in the last few years. I just turned 21 and started taking interest into cars when I was probably 16 or 17. I'm going to school for a business marketing degree haha, nothing to do with anything mechanical. What it comes down to is how much patience and drive you have. For example, on my 18th birthday I spent the day sanding down a G35 sedan to paint it myself in my garage. Just going for it and not looking back has always been my outlook with these projects. Almost all of my learning comes from google, forums, and my father has been really helpful pointing me in the right direction over the years.
I would spend the time doing the research. Understand what its going to take is the most important part to the project when you're just starting out. Taking into consideration tools, funds, and what you really want. Anyways enough ranting, just go for it! Good luck

I have been trying to get the ecu nonstop for weeks now. I'm close to getting a used series 1 right now on the s2k forums just waiting for some photos.
Not a ton of progress trying to live a little. Got the bike running just had to clean and replace some parts in the carb.
Also trying to get the skirts, hood, and kamei front fitted and preped so I can paint them in the next week or so.
