I just got all caught up on this thread and I've got to give you props! I love how you just said fuck it and went for it, even it if was something you hadn't done before. This is the epitome of a great build thread, keep up the amazing work!

I'm really leaning towards SEM jet black. I love the products its simple.

Plus I'm aiming for a copper/ black theme. I have always been a fan of copper with some mixed in gloss and 2k finish black accents would take this car over the top in my eyes. I think about it day in day out.

You ever watch the show trucks on spike tv? They did the grill and bumpers in copper and let it patina. You should do that to the center of your wheels, but then clear it.
That shit would be nasty..

White325is I really want to do copper plating of some sort. I emailed rotiform about doing it, but they want so much for it. I might build a setup and try it in my garage. I just need to figure out a good combo for face vs lip.

paint the lip and copper the face OR copper lip with painted face. the polish lips have to go if I'm doing all black trim.

Never seen the show how they patina it and clear coat it, but personally I was just going to let natural do its work on it and occasionally put some polish on it to just keep it looking raw. I agree though it would be nasty and I really want to go down this route.

Finally had a morning to work on her. Been very busy with school work and life.

Still just stripping paint. Pretty happy with the trunk now almost NO bondo! all the hours of sanding paid off. This is just can primer to keep all my work from rusting. The majority of it will be sanded off.
Bought this roll bar off ebay for 40$. I'm debating cutting the bars to the back off and extending them further so I can utilize them to make a new tower for the rear suspension.

please do something a bit more with the cage, maybe I'm not seeing it but something to match the caliber of the rest of the project.

Faaaaack!! Went through 12 pages, simply love it, I’ve had a pair of Hondas, a Miata and currently driving a Mustang, I really want to pick up an old BMW, early 80s 5 series, my concern is the availability of parts, I’m a complete noob when it comes to European cars...
