I **** cast aluminum. Zinc is not my friend.

This project turned from a simple thought to a painful experience. I layered the casting with filler 5-6 times and now I'm just giving up. The pin holes never end, but I got it looking good enough for powder coat down the road. Days and days working sorting this and layering the aluminum. Not to mention the baffle had to be drilled out, tapped, and I had to cut down bolts since it was an unusual size. Overall it was a good learning experience though.

All of the F20 oil catch can designs I have seen just tap into a random location and never have any baffle. I spent a lot of time and effort to reuse the OEM locations and the well designed baffle.

    Mikey.... halfway happy metal shavings
puzzlemaster94- I just picked up a canon 60D recently, but 30D prior and a lot of different glass. Very cool to hear that it was helpful/inspiration.

Always appreciate the kind words, it really is nice everyone.

Hopefully tomorrow goes smooth and I should have a good update.

I'll add to the bandwagon of reading all the way through the thread. Very helpful and inspirational. Your website has answered a lot of my painting questions also.

Your camera work is astounding, what are you using? If I've missed it, very sorry.

Beautiful car and build. Can't wait to see what's next

I was thinking that looks a lot like swarf from drilling through something. I'm intrigued as to what shenanigans are afoot.

Oh shit, that doesn't look good, but then again I don't really know what's going on. I hope those are happy metal shavings and not sad metal shavings
