I really dig that Status seat. Depends on what kind of interior look you are going for.

Yea, I'll figure it out later, once I get the car running and tuned. I dig the status seats, and I want to wrap the interior trim in carbon too which will look good with the carbon fiber seat backs.

Towed the car back to the shop on Thursday to start working on the bay and get the motor in

Cleaned up a little more, there's fucking axle grease EVERYWHERE from all the blown boots this thing has had in its lifetime. Tucked the starter power cable too, gonna ditch the stock fuel lines and make new ones because A. they,re ugly, and B. they cross over under the frame right where my axle is and the axle is rubbing on them. No bueno.

Started plugging up the harness. I forgot how ugly the stock one is sooooo....

I told myself I wasn't gonna do the harness but Jared and I both thought it would be kind of silly to do all this work and not do it right from the get go. Gotta get a bunch of heat shrink so we can start re-looming stuff. Tricky stuff is knowing what you can take out without fucking shit up. Like apparently the N249 needs to stay hooked up to complete a circuit so I'm going to take it off the intake manifold and place it in the raintray. Debating on going eurodyne or Lugtronic for engine management. Haven't really decided yet.

More updates. I gotta speed this shit up if I wanna make it to Sowo. Marked and started cutting the harness up to run the loom.

Flipped the throttle body over to see how it looks. Not really sure if I dig it or not, but it hits the support for the intake manifold, so Jared took the TB over to his machinist and is making a little spacer so it will clear.

If I dont like it I'll just remove it and flip it back over.

          More harness looming

Apparently I took this picture before I joined everything on the intake side together. The we have to join it to the coils packs and run it into the firewall. Pretty sure I know how I'm going to do it but I want the motor in the car so I can get the proper length and routing on the harness and all that shit. Its pretty easy to install and remove so if science forbid I have to take it out again its about 5 minutes of wiggling.

Also took out the shifter rod out to install the JHM solid bushing

The rubber piece of shit in there before.

I was kind of pressed for time since it was getting late so I forgot to snap a pic of the new shit. Its steel now, so no slop whatsoever

I'm going to need some reflective foil on that frame rail so I don't cook the paint.

There's still so much to do :-\

                    • Some more updates, we're getting close now

Finished looming the harness and connected the two ends together. Drilled the hole in the rain tray to run the harness out too.

Started getting the front end together so we can setup the intercooler and piping.

Where the ABS module used to sit. It's getting moved into the rain tray.

Its new location in the rain tray, to the left of the brake booster in the picure

Since the battery used to sit there it's gotta get moved to the trunk so I got this power distribution block

Riv-nuts are the fucking coolest thing evar

Found some spare parts to make the filler neck for the coolant system since there will be no more expansion tank.

                      Mocked it up, pretty dope

                      Ready for the bumper

                            • Thanks for the kind words guys. Sometimes I wanna set this shit on fire but it's cool that people can dig the work

Mini update, but I'm bored and I don't feel like working on it right now

Jared made these catch cans a while back, found them in a box while cleaning up

I thought they would look pretty good in the bay and I could use one as a p/s reservoir since there isn't really a good place to put the stock one that is totally hidden. Obviously they're going to get polished once everything is done. Figured out placement and Jared made brackets to hold them using a stock bracket in the car.

                              Intercooler core also showed up

034 Snub mount and bracket showed up too ;D Until I realized I had to tear the whole front end apart again >

Throttle body spacer was finally cut

How it sits for now. Gotta wait for a lift to open up so we can make the end tanks and intercooler piping.

I think I'm going full standalone too. Kinda sucks cause I think that means I have to lose my MFA display. Hopefully there is a way around that.

                              • Another little update, wish I had more to show you guys but it's been kinda hectic

Time to get the intercooler mounted, then we can design and make the end tanks which will let us do the intercooler piping.

Had to cut the bumper. It is apparently made of some pretty serious steel.

Ambient temp sensor is also in the way so I gotta find a new spot for it

Centered and measured it, made tabs and Jared welded them on. Then drilled out the bumper for the rivnuts. Ended up killing about 5 drill bits to go through the damn thing.

Mounted. Still want to make one more tab on the bottom.

Got the throttle body spacer on too

Also got the shift linkage installed and aligned.

                                Love this pic
