    Here is a tutorial using a different method. I prefer this way, but I usually layer the two ways over each other;

      I do that also! Sometimes I layer two or three of the same ones, different colors, and lighter opacity.

It should be right under layer. Select where you want it to be brightest at, drag it out as far as you want it to go and then you can either just keep it as is and lower the opacity or you can change it to overlay. You'll still want to lower the opacity. Also before you do that make sure you select the color you want it to be. In this case yellow.
        Thanks! I had this more convoluted and hap hazard way of doing it, this seems way easier and it seems to look way less 'fake'.

        I like this idea, we could have fun here.

        Some of you guys are pretty good, I've got a ways to go on this stuff.

        I guess you could say I'm above/below amateur photographer status, hard to tell just yet

                        I use Lightroom, in need of PS, just to fix some extra stuff

                          Ahh nice nice. I use lightroom for small color/lighting corrections and then bring it into photoshop.

                              I like lightroom for stuff like corrections because how non destructive it is to the picture. The ones straight out the camera with a little touch up looks awesome. I use photoshop for more drastic "artsy" editing.

                                I edited both of these using Pixlr. Considering I dont have Lightroom anymore because I no longer have access to the computer it was on.
