I think the picture itself was taken with a 40D and a Canon 70-300mm telephoto (the crapiest lens I own)

I imagine you shot the original in RAW, seeing how much detail you brought back from the highlights.

Love the blacked out garage! But damn, that lens sure produces some serious CA.

That's pretty good !! How do you arrive at this point ? Contrast, Brightness and ?

It's actually quite a lot more than just contrast & brightness tho.

yeah, it has some serious chromatic aberration issues That's why I never use it anymore. I'd sell it but it's almost not even worth the effort lol.

Well I'm not giving away all the stuff that goes behind it (in details at least).
But I can tell you that "curves/levels" and "masking" are my most used tools when editing a picture
