I had a friend who had a 33', came in at just under 12,700 pounds dry, that nocks the Titan out completly and is actually over the stock 2500HD as well. I think you should decide on a boat and then shop for a tow vehicle. I try and tow at or under 80% of the max capacity of the vehicle I tow with. Trailers behave much better with a properly sized and setup tow rig. You can always tow a small trailer with a big truck but it doesn't work well the other way around.

Quoted for Truth. Love the Titan... purchase the 2500HD. You will thank everyone who has suggested it after you purchase the boat. I own a Malibu Wakesetter LSV (23' inboard), so can attest to what it feels like to pull a boat. Wakesetter tows with any GM full-size truck product with fair ease. Anything larger though, and you are looking at 1-Ton diesel for sure.

By the way, I love your plans for the truck... don't let people throw you into a "sub-category" of douchebaggery.

Dodge Ram or Ford Superduty. Can't beat them for towing or their diesel motors.

Seems to me like your willing to spend quite the dough on the truck for just a tow pig, a lift and wheels will set you back a good 6 grand unless you buy used parts, if not you can even spend more.

ok maybe not that big of a lift on the F650 but a lift will be in order. Oh and the boat will be something like one of these

Doesn't doing an extreme lift make it hard/dangerous to tow? My truck is slammed to the point that I wouldn't tow more then 1000 pounds so I can't talk. Looks smooth tho so it's all g.

If you want to make a lifted beast the that's your prerogative. But... If you find yourself in the fox racing flat hat section of douches r us then hit stance works on your iPhone asap. It's the medicine.

If you are serious about offroading in it, why the hell are you getting 22" wheels? Get a diesel or you will really **** yourself for not later, regardless.

Well I will probably have the 22s w/ 40" tires for the street/look good portion and get some 18s with 38s for off road/mudding. Another crazy idea I had was get the titan and do a diesel swap on it

You'd have to make a custom tow bar that went all the way down to a reasonable height or you'd have to do this, of which would not be practical at all

                            /Do et!!!

You could never tow a standard trailer with a truck that high = fail

i say go with a chevy, dodge, or ford dually if your gonna be pullin a cigarette boat. slammed or lifted looks good on duallies, whichever you wanna do. personally i would get a dodge dually and slam it if i had the choice to make but its up to you. and you would be surprised the kinda power you can get out of a diesel truck. with a good chip and a few other small mods you can make some serious power with those things.
