Well I am thinking about picking up a tow pig for towing my toys to the track days so I dont have to use my friends all the time and I plan on buying a boat when I get home so kinda gonna need one....at first I had my mind set on a Nissan Titan(4x4 of course) but the more I looked at trucks I have grown fond of the silverado 2500 HD(Gotta love some diesel) too. Mind you whichever I choose will not stay stock(good size lift, rims, proper tires, ect) and will be used like it should be. So....I ask you my friends....which one? 1. Nissan Titan or 2. Silverado 2500 HD.

I've owned a quad-cab Titan. Loved it. Absolute beast. 6inch lift, 22x11's with 325/50's... It's a V8 however, that got 13mpg going 60 on the highway.
I'm gonna go ahead and rule it out for you, if towing consistently is what you aiming for. I wouldn't tow consistently with a modified Titan.
2004 2500HD I think is what you are looking for. The newer diesels, whether they be Dodge, GM, Ford all are heavily regulated by computers, and from the lil research I've done, they are hard to maximize performance and mpg's, due to that.
Final thoughts: DO YOUR RESEARCH. You can either have a blast with these things, or they can be total nightmares. Goodluck in your search and keep us in the loop on what you get!

i'd get the silverado. Titan is nice, but not something i would tow with.
the guy that owns it is nice as hell, he just leaves the keys in it and says just return it with the same amount of fuel.
if it's running in time, the civic truck will be transported to SoWo this month

Thanks for the input guys. MPG is not really a concern for this as it wont be used to tow shit everyday just when needed and maybe just take it out to have fun in the mud too. Plus with the plans I have(10-12" lift, 22x??" rims and 40" tires) I was already expecting pretty low mpg. Heres some pics of kinda what I have planed for either one.3000GT-Clean daily project.

I just believe in the saying "go BIG or go home"
too many famous-wearing, flat-billed kids around here in overly lifted titans that think they are the shit
edit: around here = my town
