Before I tried it and saw what it was all about..

This thread is all about raw denim, its not about washed denim. If there were a general denim thread then sure I don't disagree. But that's not what this thread is about.

I own 3 pairs of non-selvedge denim, and I don't like the feel or fit of them nearly as much, as I do my selvedge. There is a lot more to raw denim than if they faded naturally or not, to me that doesn't even matter. Its how they break in and fit to me, and ultimately end up being more comfortable than any other pair of washed denim.

I'm not saying you have to buy raw denim either. Shit if you find a cut that you like at a good price go with it for sure, hell once I found 511s, I didn't buy anything else, and then I jumped at a 50% deal on my selvedge 511s, and from there I never looked back.

And btw you can get Unbranded (which is raw selvedge) for $78, proving you don't need to spend a shit load on good quality denim.

If you don't understand it that's fine, but raw denim and washed denim are not the same at all. There is a reason that raw costs more than washed.

Levi's aren't replicas, and they are a quarter of the price.
And thats just one brand name off the top of my head.
Face it, you're buying them because of the name and the fact that its just plain expensive.
It has almost nothing to do with quality.

I have a pair of silvertab jeans I got about 3-4 years ago, I wear them about 2-3 times a week and guess what? They are still in perfectly good condition! Oh and that pretty much goes the same for every pair of jeans I've ever owned.
There is no magic way to using denim, fucking 5 year old children in a foreign county can figure it out so its not exactly as difficult or as dangerous as wheel development.

If that is your excuse to not buy higher quality clothing, then don't pretend that you want high quality clothing because its really not a valid excuse.

I know, I know. I haven't looked into them any more since we talked about them earlier.
