    With my 4.77 gears, usually around 4000, if I'm just cruising.

    Otherwise, 9k+.

          normal driving - 6250
          ripping it - 6250

          2001 BMW 540i
          cruising - 2000
          ripping it - 6000

          I almost never cruise in the e30, but the 540 I've been trying to control my habits and drive like a normal person and get good mileage. It's so boring though, I usually inadvertantly floor it around 50 miles into a tank and completely ruin any chance of driving normal for the rest of it.

                    Pfft, Cal I shift at like 2.2k. When I first got the car I shifted around there. And then gas started getting really expensive and that habit stopped haha.
