I tried to keep a straight face on account of this being a serious situation with death involved, but jesus christ I just pissed myself. hahahaha

Our hearts go out to the Martinez family and Graciela's friends at Madera South High, whose football team is reportedly staging a bake sale to raise money for the funeral expenses. Scroll down below to watch a news report covering the tragedy.

I wouldn't put it past an e36 to just not unlock. People get stuck in the passenger seat of my car all the time because you have to pull the passenger handle to the point that it feels like it's going to break. My pass door doesn't lock but it also doesn't open from the outside. My driver's door can't be locked or unlucked with a key, only with the fob or the passenger door lock.

    Teen dies inside locked E36

I read this on Autoblog this morning. A high school teen died from heat stroke due to being locked in an E36 (1997). The story says the car's electronics don't work from the inside when the car is locked from the outside. Could the trapped person pull up the lock pin or would pulling the interior door handle unlock the door? I guess the person was too disoriented from the heat. I'm not making fun of this situation, but I wanted to see what E36 owners think about this door lock matter.

Link to Autoblog with video of E36.
