I've never really had much of an issue with my glossy displays. Matte is all well and good, but the colors aren't as true I find. Also if you have a desktop setup, you should be positioned that glare should not be an issue... Because regardless of matte or glossy, having a glare like a window right behind you, isn't going to be doing you much of any good.

My Asus monitors do pretty good dealing with glare, but either way glare sucks. I'll have to post a pic of my desk in the desk thread. I just finished building it this past weekend.
