oh and what else are they good for?
what exactly validates the price besides the apple sticker?

But honestly all I do is surf the web and listen to music so its fine for now. Its not terribly slow (except for start-up) and with Google Chrome it navigates the web quick enough for me. I've been using my brothers $1500 MacbookPro and it doesn't run much faster than this computer on the web.Dude... My nissan has like a v8, man.

How do you map a network drive?
Administer local users and rights?
Switch between the laptop screen and a LCD with just keyboard shortcuts?
How do you log into an apple remotely?
and thats all basic shit
oh and no googling that shitLast edited by Dudermagee; 10-15-2011, 09:21 PM.Dude... My nissan has like a v8, man.

Mapping a network drive is pretty simple on a Mac actually.
Local user rights are also simple to manage, they're called "Permissions" on Macs.
Laptop screen and LCD can also be done using keyboard shortcuts.
This is what I used for my remote login setup.
As regards to price, I find that the build quality of these machines is second to none, the displays are among the best out there for laptops, and the iMac displays are among the best IPS displays out there right now (also ACD). Also should something go wrong, their customer service is awesome, and I've never once had an issue with them, they often go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. I am more than happy to pay more for that.Last edited by Kielan; 10-15-2011, 09:25 PM.- Kielan (Key-lin)

I also have a desktop that I built that I run Windows 7 on, have my MBP for school and shit. Desktop barely gets used because I don't really game anymore.
Dudeman, I'm not going to type out the steps how to do each one here. If you're really curious, google can help you. That's how I learned.- Kielan (Key-lin)

I love my MBP. I browse the internet on it, and let my wife use it for whatever. It does the basics no problem, and that's what it's good for. My desktop is the workhorse, and it does more important things for me.Originally posted by Oxerpeople are such stupid cunts.

If I got a MAC it would be to surf porn sites.
Oh and I did look that shit up on google, and I'm not mad that I couldn't figure it out by looking at the MAC, I was pissed that it took a little while to find it out on google.
It seemed like none of the everyday mac users knew how to do any of that shit.
