Opened iTunes and tried to sync to my phone. No sync. Restart phone and computer and iTunes is corrupted or some shit and still won't sync. Uninstall iTunes and all other apple software, re-install iTunes. Take 25 minutes to download 780 mb file for iOS update. Update phone, then re-install apps and all that bullshit.

Took me about 3 hours all said and done.

By the way, I fucking **** windows computers.
I avoided all of this by just getting one that had iOS5 on it... iPhone 4s, feels good man.

My iTunes was fucked from the get-go, so that there was an hour wasted between figuring it out and un-installing/re-installing shit. Once I got iTunes squared away all I had to do was click a few buttons, wait a little while, then get my apps back and re-organize my apps. Pretty simple really.

oh and what else are they good for?
what exactly validates the price besides the apple sticker?

But honestly all I do is surf the web and listen to music so its fine for now. Its not terribly slow (except for start-up) and with Google Chrome it navigates the web quick enough for me. I've been using my brothers $1500 MacbookPro and it doesn't run much faster than this computer on the web.
lol sounds like all you need is a newer win7 machine and you'd be all set

I'm just going to run this until it pisses me off to no end and I shoot it. Then I'll look into getting a computer.

          • How do you map a network drive?
            Administer local users and rights?
Switch between the laptop screen and a LCD with just keyboard shortcuts?
How do you log into an apple remotely?
            and thats all basic shit

oh and no googling that shit

              • Mapping a network drive is pretty simple on a Mac actually.
Local user rights are also simple to manage, they're called "Permissions" on Macs.
Laptop screen and LCD can also be done using keyboard shortcuts.
This is what I used for my remote login setup.

As regards to price, I find that the build quality of these machines is second to none, the displays are among the best out there for laptops, and the iMac displays are among the best IPS displays out there right now (also ACD). Also should something go wrong, their customer service is awesome, and I've never once had an issue with them, they often go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. I am more than happy to pay more for that.

                    • I also have a desktop that I built that I run Windows 7 on, have my MBP for school and shit. Desktop barely gets used because I don't really game anymore.

Dudeman, I'm not going to type out the steps how to do each one here. If you're really curious, google can help you. That's how I learned.

Which if you look at 95% of the windows demographic its the same shit over there.

As a technician the build quality sucks to work on, I took apart my wife's laptop and that thing was a cluster fuck. LOL @ displays I'm sure there is a laptop company out there that makes something comparable, and you can buy whatever the fuck you want for a desktop. Yeah the customer service was great, they told my wife it would only be 500 bucks to replace the video card on her laptop, thats a little less than half of what she paid for the shit that lasted about 2 years.

                            • I love my MBP. I browse the internet on it, and let my wife use it for whatever. It does the basics no problem, and that's what it's good for. My desktop is the workhorse, and it does more important things for me.

See I use my PC for gaming, maintaining my local network, I also play with alot of apps that are usually not made for MAC's.

If I got a MAC it would be to surf porn sites.

Oh and I did look that shit up on google, and I'm not mad that I couldn't figure it out by looking at the MAC, I was pissed that it took a little while to find it out on google.
It seemed like none of the everyday mac users knew how to do any of that shit.
