 I use straps to deadlift because I have a mutilated pinky on my left hand that seriously fucks with grip (both under and over hand).  Took the car in for a safety check today, and mechanic has decided there's play in my steering arm which he can sort, and I need a rear plate light.
 Not too bad, I was expecting some welding or brake issues.

 good info, let me add that sometimes its not that the muscle isnt strong enough, its more that the tendons havent gotten strong enough at the same rate as the muscle. sometimes you accelerate into heavier weight too fast where you are able to lift it but the tendons arent ready for it yet. thats also can lead to injury or at least some form of unnatural pain.Originally posted by Dudermagee View PostIMO you shouldn't use anything to aid your lifting, if you can't lift it unaided then you shouldn't be lifting it.
