I thought people pay a good amount of money for things like this in original condition even beat up and used. Does it not fall under the "don't polish an antique rusted gun" kind of thing?
Does it come with a lid? I don't know anything about these. So I don't know if they even came with a lid originally. Interested in seeing how this turns out non the less.

yeah its better to leave it tarnished and patina'd with the dents then to just sand and repaint it with the dents/gash's still there. Pretty much most of the Value is gone down the drain doing it this way. Its cool if you just want to keep it though.
