  • Coke Ice Chest: "Semi" Restoration

I recently got Coca Cola Ice chest. Picked it up for cheap. Thought I'd make it look nice.

When I say "semi" restoration, I mean basically just repainting the thing. Theres a lot of dents that im not gonna worry about. Also the inside, unless I got totally bored, will be left the way it is.

    But Here It is:

Got it mainly because it was made in KY. Which is where im from, so if i decided to sell it, it would sell for a decent price.

Going to sand it tonight. More pictures then.

as for now, heres my old Budweiser wooden box.

dont mind the figures. I'm a star wars dork.

I actually think it looks awesome being beat up on the outside.

Make it work and leave the patina.

i wouldve left it like that and then just clear coated it, but the bottom is so bad pieces are just falling off and paints chipping all the time all over the floor. I wanna bring this inside next to my budweiser box. dont wanna ruin the carpets.

Will you be blasting this after doing it by hand?

Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

how do you think people sandblast a whole car? they don't sandblast it in a box

Don't entertain him, he's slow haha.

Anyway this is awesome. Leaving the dings and dents will really add character. I would have just cleared over the outside and re-done the interior but to each his own. Outstanding photography btw.

if the bottom around the outside wouldnt have been so nasty i wouldve definitely just cleared it.
