Kinda do it, these have horrible interiors. My mate is just looking at upgrading his XJ40 to an XJR, and can't get over the horribly tacky interiors on this shape. Rather the older model before.
But yeah, I think overall, do it.

not sure if the Jag you're wanting to get has any similarities with the Jag I'm about to compare it to BUT. My friend has a 2001 Jaguar S-type 4.0 and it's one of the biggest pieces of shit one of my friends has ever owned. It only has 90,000 miles on it, and has had transmission work, ignition work (twice) headliner is saggy, boot lid is open light is always on, his fenders changed colors from white to green (his car is white), the windows crack when you roll them back up (like if they're down and you roll them back up they make a very high pitched, like a banshee breaking glass over your head noise, almost like the glass is going to crack sound), there's no legroom, no headroom, my mercedes when it had the stock 3.2 outran it, it didn't come with a cd player (it came with a cd changer but not in the head unit if that makes sense?) it came with a tape player, etc. Like I said, I know a lot of people say that this S type p.o.s. model was based off a Ford Taurus so that's probably why it sucks so much dick, but if the jag you want to get has any similarities to this jaguar don't get it.

Don't buy that particular car purely because of the leaper on the bonnet, why the fuck anyone would put one on a car that Jaguar stopped putting them on is beyond me. Modern Jaguars are nowhere near as good as the older models, series 1,2 an 3 xjs etc. especially the S-type undoubtedly the worst Jag ever made.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonsterInternet high five for you.

It's a 10-year old British car.
That sentence alone should start scaring you.

A friend in high school had one of these... It had a bunch of problems. Another friend of mine did some work on it, including: replacing all injectors, chasing a short through the whole dash, new a/c condenser, and some other stuff. I think her car was a late 90's/early 00's model.
Just make sure you get one with service records I guess. The only hard work he did was chasing the shorted wire in the dash, but it was a money pit for the girl that owned it.StatusRacing.com

I must be lucky, but after almost 2 years of ownership, I've had no real issues. Getting custom parts is interesting (minagallery.com is a monopoly for a teeny tiny market of enthusiasts) or you need to make them one-off, but I live for that type of isht.My first JDM project after decades of European cars!
