Diamond Racings and mangled fenders are the new unpainted Extreme Dimensions bodykit.
^^ Win. The other thing that bothers me about 'stance' is that stance was around long before wide wheels with stretched tires. I LOVE slammed on their nuts cars, but I think this scene is making people loose sight on the fact that every car has its own stance, and that's not necessarily the lowest ride height or offset.. I think that blog post about drift cars having stance even though they aren't 'stanced' as per the development of this new scene.

fuck it, do w/e you want to your car. if it so happens to be slammed and your wheels aggressive then its stanced. i appreciate a clean flushed car, and i can appreciate (to an extent) a car thats a little more random and ostentatious. at no time will everyone aggree on what does and doesnt look good, so there will always be rice.

i believe stance is the new rice and that rolled fenders are the new unpainted buttykits, that low is the new over sized wing and that flashy color has been replaced by rust. the scene is getting ridiculous sometimes, i like stanced cars, some of them are badass but sometimes the shit hits the fan when you see a piece of crap with 10 different colors on it going so low that a piece of paper would get stuck underneath it. oh yeah, and then there are the stickers, god damn people too many is an understatement

Well there's nothing wrong with being low. I think the true rice is when someone has all that and is either not low, or not fitted.

Imo the stance scene is more like the rat rod scene, we get cars, we want them low, we do ridiculous things to achieve that. Parts arent available so we fabricate them. i personally dig the rusted parts on some of the cars and the stickerbombed parts as well they all look better than rice..ricers buy shit from autozone, gawdy body kits, "euro" tail lights, and call it a day.

i'm not saying it's wrong to go low, but some cars are just ridiculous, and you can approve that when it can't be driven without busting it's pan on a flatted soda can it is just wrong. for me the idea is to be as low as it can be and stil be usable. ridiculous low and insane fitment and stretch is only nice in pictures, you don't wanna know how it feels when a stretched tire jumps the wheel at 60 mph

LOL, I love your style no homo.

On the subject of the matter, its all how you do it. A civic with a cheap carbon hood is rice but a M3 with a CSL carbon trunk isnt. Its all in context and how it looks.
We make our cars fit our wheels.

I consider my car to be ridiculously low with nice fitment and stetch. It's nice in pictures but that's not why anyone does it. It's how I mod my cars. I can't make it over a flattened soda can but it's still 100% usable because it's set up right. I drift and auto-x at that height. Maybe I don't go 140mph down the highway but what's your point?

And what does it mean to have a stretched tire jump the wheel at 60mph? I've had two blowouts in my life. One was a 225/40 on an 8.5j and one was a 225/40 on a 10j. Guess which tire stayed on the wheel?

I'd agree that rice in the stance scene are cars sitting on racelands or super stiff springs with stock struts bouncing all over and tearing away at the tires on their xxrs, homie.

first of all, why bump a 2 year old thread

second of all that is not rice

it seems you don't know your shit

only rice i know of is the one you eat.

there are nice cars... and horrible cars. what looks good to your eyes is your own personal opinion and taste, whether its rice, noodles or chicken nuggets.
