Not true, the cove base material is rigid enough. But... you need to not hit it - a hard enough hit will mean reapplying a new lip.

How do I know?
My wife drove the 850 5 times after wheels and front lip were installed. It was either a $100 bill to get a wheel turned and refinished or a $30 investment to redo the lip each time she drove it - I got pretty good at replacing the lip and always hoped for the $30 issue if I came home to see my car was missing.

No, the garden trim is unacceptable. Only seals for the bottom of garage doors and molding to go around the bottom of your walls will be tolerated.

Edit: there is also a provision for allowing vinyl gutter material on select cars for side skirts when other options are not available.

For lower end cars it can look amazing and fit the bill, so to speak. If you have a nicer car it just seems natural to get nicer things for it. I am on the fence, I did it to my MKIII Supra and LOVED it but would I put one on my SC400? Not in a million years.......unless I start tracking it, then and only then, yes. My $0.02 so take it for what it's worth.....2% of a dollar.

i did garden edging to my old toyota chaser for the fact that they stoped making front lips for the 'TRD' body kit and were impossible to find, and to add to the gayness of the TRD front bar it sat higher then the side skirts did and looked stupid.
in saying all that i reckon my chaser pulled it off, i think that volvo pulls it off but yes there are some people that make it look really shit.
