Bringing this back from the dead.
I used to be pretty big into working out but for about the last 3 years between going to school and working at a pizzeria I got pretty fat. This time last year I was tipping the scale at over 220 and my wast was a 38 almost 40.
Last summer I got a job working in a shop and lost a few pounds, but nothing major. This past winter I got into skiing a lot and it made me realize how far out of shape I was. Around the middle of February I started running and walking on the treadmill and watching what I ate. after a month I decided to go all out and start a strict diet and start running and walking outside.
For the past almost 5 months I've kept up with this and I've been doing a 5k loop around our house running and walking the hills. I don't really eat candy, cookies, or any shit like that anymore. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies and keep an eye on portion control.
On top of running I've just been doing body weight exercises a few times a week. Push ups, sit ups, obliques, pull ups, and hand stand push ups.
For the past month I've been hovering around 190 but I can tell I've still been loosing body fat and putting on muscle. My waist is down to a 33-34. My goal is to get down into the 175 range by fall then get a gym membership when the shitty weather hits to continue with cardio and start lifting 3 days a week. By next summer I'd like to still be around 170 but with as little body fat as possible.
And for comparison, here are some pics. I'm 5'8" and I have a large frame which is why I'm still around 190.

I'll update my progress as time goes on. I've progressed really well these past few months and basically had to buy an all new wardrobe.

finally time slim down again
already lost 14lbs
then i started going to the gym
focus is cardio
goal is an 'athletic figure'
just don't wanna get big, only gain strenght and phisique
