its funny to see how many people **** stance. someone on another forum was giving me shit about it the other day becasue i wasnt building my e30 for track. he was like "oh, stanced and hellaflush shit "
Let them ****... The more they **** the more our cars get out there... I work at honda and i get shit all day for driving a bmw/hella camber/poke.. Everyone the hates on my shit but know one else has the balls to roll it like i do..
i dont think its **** as much as jealousy...well i think thats how it is with a lot of my friends in my local club....the one said "you just always have to have the nicest car"...I just choose the right parts the first time usually and do a lot of work to my cars, most people in my club dont do a thing and always complain when other people have nicer cars with good fitting wheels and stance
I **** this mentality so much. What's worse than people ****** on something is someone WANTING people to **** on their stuff so they can think they're cool.
x10000 I can't wait for this whole "*****" vocabulary to die off. The "I love ******" mentality is used by people like Paris Hilton and the Jersey Shore cast. Who wants to be like them??
"If they **** on you, you're doing something right".....yah that, or you're doing some wrong. 50% of the time, if you're "being ***** on", you probably deserve it.
People speak negatively of something when they are incapable of understanding where another person is coming from or why someone would like what they do. They are unable to understand that some people find the stance aesthetic to be "attractive" and "desirable". Instead of accepting the fact that everyone perceives what's "good" differently, they hold the stance aesthetic up against their own personal normative values in regards to car modding. When their personal values lie in a car performing well at a track, or looking a specific way...it's obvious why they wouldn't like the way we mod our cars.
It's not jealousy either. These people truly don't like the same styling we do, so I doubt they wish they had our cars. They're happy with their cars modded to their preferences, just as we're happy with ours. They like their cars the best. We like ours the best. They just happen to not like our cars because they're not like their cars. It's not jealousy....just a difference in personal preference.
Some people are mature enough to accept that people like different things. They accept and respect others' view points even if it isn't in line with their own.....then there's the immature group who ignore all that and just post meaningless negative comments on the internet. Just ignore them and keeping doing what makes you happy.
I **** this mentality so much. What's worse than people ****** on something is someone WANTING people to **** on their stuff so they can think they're cool. Just do what you like, purposely baiting people or trying to get negative feedback is just trying to be an attention whore. As bad as threads like that are, they're entitled to their opinions and to express them.
Basically, I think you're immature as fuck with that sort of mentality
Oh my god. Where in New York are you so I can shake your hand and give you a cookie?!?!? You are the only other person I've found who thinks that. "I <3 ******"... normally they're ****** for a reason (especially if your shit SUCKS) so shut up and ignore them or listen to their opinions, don't say you <3 them for no goddamn reason. Bunch of retardssssss. Anyone with an "I <3 ******" sticker goes down a few notches in my book right off the back.
I'm sure you all " <3 " me for "******" on your car though
Does anyone make "I **** ******" or "I **** People That **** ******" stickers??? I'd buy 20.

Hahahaha I'm on Long Island and it's just irritating that people have that attitude. Idc if people don't like my car, I don't bask in knowing that there are people out there who **** how I modified my car. I accept that you won't please everyone and just enjoy what I do
Yuppers. Some go with the majority of the crowd that they can associate themselves with for all the same reasons.
They dont have to be jealous cause they cant afford it, but in most cases cause they realize they went the wrong way. At least the people that **** that I have been familiar with.
Im fed up with the whole "**** on **** on" mind frame myself. I **** using the word *****!
But I would be damned if I let someone talk shit rather than base an opinion when they have nothing in common. Or at least tell them how I feel about bicycle wheel like fitment.

Telling them how you feel about bicycle wheel fitment is exactly the same as them telling you about how they feel about your poke/flush fitment. People always cry that people are ****** on them when there's a difference in opinion, yet those same people will **** on what other people do bc they don't like it, which is no different at the end of the day. People need to put things into perspective and step into the other person's shoes for a second. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen (or however that expression goes)

I dont think you understand where I am coming from. They can say what they want as long as its something productive and has meaning. If its a opinion based on more than " thats not how I roll " I can except that. What I don not except is the biased ones that act as if its should be fact. That goes for both sides of the stick. This is something that I feel strongly about in areas that pertain to more than just wheel fitment.
I do **** people with skinnies and huge tires, yes. But, my last comment you quoted was said in joking terms.

Haha I know the bike fitment thing was a joke but it was good to use as an example anyway since it was an extreme one
As for only saying things that are productive, you can't please everyone and everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether it be negative or positive. I agree that often times people could word things better so that they don't come off so hostile, but given the variety of people who mod cars, there will always be differences and there's no reason to get butt-hurt over negative comments, just ignore them and move on since you won't ever make everyone happy
A lot of people act like flush/poke should be a fact and that everything else is garbage or ugly yet I can recall just a couple of years ago when everyone outside of the VW/Euro world loved ripping on our cars for poke and stretch and being stupidly low (and tons of people still do) and now a lot of those people are doing just that with their cars, so it's really nothing to get so upset over imo
