I followed you here from MyE28. I'm also about to go SPAX and Billy Sports. I'm going to use 15mm spacers on a 17x8.5" ET 20 Mille Miglia II wheel. So I'll be ET 5. I think I could get away with 215-40-17, but I'll be safe and go with 205-40-17, that should help me with the rubbing and I won't have to kill my fenders too badly.
If I don't like this look, I'll go with Borbet type As 17x8.5 ET 13 with the same 15mm spacers and see if that works better. The Borbets are just collecting dust...
If I don't like that, I'll go with staggered style 66s (also collecting dust) with the same 15mm spacers with a 205-40 and a 215/45.
I think with your 0 and 1 offsets, you'll need to run a 205-40 and a 215 45. Even that may be close. Roll your fenders and pray those SPAX springs are as stiff as people say they are...the M30 oil pans are soft as hot butter.

Did some more research, went with 215/45s on the 8s. Nexen N3000s have round sidewalls. Crap.
They'll be going on the 9s, and I'll be getting some 205/45s for the front. That should be just about perfect for what I want.

I think I have my tire and spacer sizes figured out, but I want to make sure I'm on the right track;
Front:
17x8 ET20 with 20mm spacer and 215/40-17s
Rear: 17x9 ET26 with 25mm spacer and 225/45-17s
So that leaves me with ET0 at the front and ET1 at the back. I'm not 100% on the rear tire size, but I want a kind of meaty-looking stretch, especially since I won't be super-low. I'll be on Spax springs, and I may cut 1/2 or 1 coil off of the front. The rear I'm not worried about since they're pretty low, and the shocks are adjustable.
Basically I want to know if the offsets I've chosen will get me flush or at least close to it without crossing over into pokeland.
I know there are only a few of us, but anyone who has run a beefier setup on an E28, please chime in!
