LMs are not flat either, and obviously can be reverse-mounted, as you posted a picture of one. Also, a member on this forum did it. No reason CCWs would be impossible.

Although I have to amend that, because I guess it is possible that CCW's face design is simply not compatible at all, even with modifications. In theory though, that aside, it could work.
edit: But... I can't actually see where you could machine it flat, so I'm switching my vote to "won't work".

      Not 100% flat.

PS: LMs are flat after you grind the paint down. It will look flat like the RS I posted above.

It's not impossible, but you have to mill down part of the face to reverse mount a LM, FYI... I would assume you would have to do the same for CCW's.

true. why would that matter if the face sits nicely in the barrel/lip?

It won't because the bolt holes are not machined with flat walls around the face itself as you can see in the picture I posted.

                      fair point ,
but i have seen some wheels that people have mounted wrong and they just look plain dangerous - "most" split rims can not be altered from front to back, back to front without being reengineered ,(does look cool when done properly though )

Ok, so I'm done exams my head is less out of my ass and I'm home to look at the wheels lol

You are correct, the edge is raised so they CAN NOT be reverse mounted without extensive work. Since I have no intentions of reverse mounting my wheels I don't really care.

BUT CCW did tell the original owner of these wheels when he ordered them that they could be reverse mounted, which information was passed along to me if I ever planned to go lower.

So what I am saying is, thanks for your help, my question was answered and a new question arose from someone else and now everyone knows the truth lol

                        END THREAD

Don't Longchamps already have the face behind the split? The shells are welded, no?

yeah, but my fronts are the newer ones, and they're mounted on the outside. So i'll be mounting them on the inside. gain some lip and offset.
