    hahahaha, nice

While that is a great idea, I need at least 16s for my brakes to clear

Just some very rudimentary stuff, the car was a sleeper when it was stock. (People normally see mid 15s @ about 91 MPH). It's not a terrifically fast car, but it gets goin faster than most would expect. Also, it was rated at 151/155 at the crank, but most owners who put the car on a dyno see at least 148-152 to the wheels. With a 15% drivetrain loss, that equates to over 175 crank HP. Mine just has a tune, for now. We figure it would put about 160 to the wheels, maybe 165, if I was extremely lucky. Considering the car weighed in at a touch under 2500lbs, it's not too shabby.

That's why I said it was still a step in the right direction. Easy does it.

I auto-x a bit and i would seriously check the scca rules to see if those wheels are not to big for auto-x or you could possibly get bumped into a higher class with much higher powered cars. Also those look like they would be heavy so thats a consideration as well. Honestly you could have lowered the car properly for auto-x/handling situations and got a nice 15 inch rpf-1 on azenis if your wanting to keep it in the rules for your class.
Thanks a lot for the tips, but I'm just doing Auto-X ith CART for right now... Kinda some fun runs before I actually get good. Here's what I've gathered...

    1. 17" is a stock Ficus size, as featured on SVT cars.
    2. Believe it or not, I saved 4 lbs a wheels, even going up an inch.
    3. I WOULD have lowered the car first, but I needed a set of winter wheels/ tires, and a set of summer wheels/ tires.

Thanks, again for the ideas and concern, man!
