Well, they fit. Haven't adjusted the coilovers yet, it obviously needs to come down quite a bit still, that will happen tomorrow.

No update to report, I'm just giddy about the possibility of finally getting these damn wheels on this car so I had to look at my thread. LOL

Oh, I guess I do have a small update: I picked up a Pioneer AVIC D3 Nav/iPod/Bluetooth/DVD setup for the car for a really good deal from a friend of mine. She was dead-set on getting a 996 also and bought this from a guy who was parting out his wife's car. She ended up getting a 335i so she sold me this setup for a steal. It was already in a 996, so it includes everything I need to install it in my car (namely the HVAC relocation kit and a spare stereo surround that has been modified for a double-din deck).

I'm excited to install this since the factory Bose stereo in these cars seriously blows. You'd think a car that was $100k new would have a better stereo. Go figure.

Small update on the rollcage refinish. I was planning to brush it to match the wheels, but since it's made from 1010 steel, it doesn't really polish up all that great.

I'm getting a test section of the cage powdercoated with "chrome" powdercoat to see how it looks. Most "chrome" powdercoat I've seen looks more like really shiny silver than chrome, so we'll see how it turns out. If I don't like it, I'll try to find a silver powder that matches Arctic Silver. If that doesn't work, I'll probably do it wrinkle black.
