started a topic My Glorified VW Beetle

    My Glorified VW Beetle

If you were following my other thread about my B5 S4 Avant, you know that I decided to abandon that project and move onto something else.

Long story short, there was A LOT of work I wanted to do to that car (body work, paint, shaved bay, built engine, etc.), but I realized I just don't have the time or place to have that involved of a project at this point in my life. And I'm not the kind of person who could just say "well, I guess I'll just enjoy the car the way it is for now". I would never be happy with it unless it was the way I had envisioned it and would **** it if I just drove it as-is. So, I did what had to be done and sold it to someone else who will give it the love and time it deserves.

    Goodbye Avant.

    And HELLO new car.

    It's a 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. It looks purple-ish in those pics, but it's Arctic Silver with a black leather/suede interior.

I got a pretty killer deal on it and it came with a few mods:

    - JIC coilovers
    - Fister exhaust
    - B&M short shifter w/ EVOMS billet shift linkage upgrade
    - Adjustable sway bar end links

The first thing I did to the car was adjust the coilovers lower and get it aligned because Porsches like to destroy rear tires.

Then I ordered GT3 muffler bypass pipes from Fabspeed. These eliminate the mufflers (shaving 50 pounds off the ass of the car) so the exhaust will now go headers -> cats -> tips.

I also yanked the (useless) rear seats to make room for a cage.

Finally, I ordered a set of 19x9.5/19x12 TMBs from Rotiform.

Here is a quick Photoshop to give you an idea of how it should look:

    More updates soon.
