The random stuff belongs to the guy who owns it at the moment. Me and him ran a vintage 4x4 shop out of it for a while. The parts are all either bronco or landcruiser.
I say do it. So I can fly out there, build a Cressida and store it there. Of course this is all purely for my benefit. JK, it does look like a cool place. If you do it, you're gonna have to be 110% committed or else it will all just be a big pile of fucking FAIL.
i say do it.. sweet place for tuneups, stacing, selling parts etc. i think you could get some "sponsors" to get cheaper coils etc. to sell... internet is on your side!
after being involved in construction...i can tell the remainder of the building is, from what i can see, structurally sound. If you decide to move forward LMK i'll come up and lend a hand and give the place a good strong once over for ya.
as far as my knowledge goes the building was built in the late 40s early 50s, ^^ and as you just said the walls are all good its just that stinkin roof...
Its a cool looking shop BUT the roof is going to cost bank! You would be better off buying land and throwing an airplane hanger on it and a cheep floor. Depending on the price you could even do something like my place. I have 5,000sq ft all open,2 bay doors,2 man doors, heated and tons of lights, fans and all the power you could want.
bad pic of a 1/4 of the shop.
That place looks way better outside then my simple building tho

Have you checked all the moater seems in the corners? that will be the big concern. When your looking at brick like that you really need to know what your looking for thats why i told Mike to let me know. IMO to save money and give the building a nice breezeway area, i would knock out that entire section. It would cost FAR more to repair that area then it would to frame that section once removed.
That's got a lot of character on the out side, would make a awesome tuning and custom shop and would be a wicked hang out,go for it! i would drop in if i was to come over and visit.

This is exactly what I said... it'd be so simple to just knock that part out. The rest is walled in... The only cost invovled would be the price of brick to fix a few holes. THe rest is just the labor of pulling the roofing out and knocking the outer wall down.
