I can't wait to upgrade from my MKIV to a MKV. How are you liking it so far?

If a moderator sees this, can you take the MkIV out of the title?

The exhaust is a techtonics tuning straight pipe exhaust. It does hang a bit low, but it isn't too bad in person.

    I like it!
Maybe a bit of tint on the rear windows, a GLI rear bumper and some sort of exhaust.
I strongly dislike the dangling stock exhaust.

Ugh... I had to order new mirror turn signals (which are backordered A LOT) because the BFI ones I have are junk and are faulty...

On a positive note, I did drop the Jetta off at Altered Image Customs in Plainfield today. They had done a great job getting my Mk4 sitting right, so now we'll see how they do with the Mk5.

I should have it back in couple days, and I couldn't be more anxious! I just wish the in-pros would get here sooner... oh well, at least it will have uncracked lenses for pictures...

I feel you bud.. When i stop driving my 92 accord and picked up my 2011 Kia, it took a long while for me to get use to the newness. I kinda miss the love **** relationship we had, but now the new car is stating to wear on me.. The feel and comutes are 1000x times more desirable... It'll take some time but you'll get use to it..

I don't think I like the mkv as much as the mk4. I liked having a little car...

It'll wait for m judgement to change once I'm low, but although the MkV is a nicer car overall, the MkIV gave me less headaches because it was a beater. I don't think Mark 5s can be beaters, they need to be clean and proper. Things are just more expensive to...

If I could do it over, I would have gotten a newer mk4 and then not gotten t- boned.

Don't get me wrong, I love the mk5... It's more comfortable, more reliable, more roomy, more classy, but not more fun...

I don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon, it's perfect for what I need, but I do miss the old car. I just have to get used to the fact that its a different kind of build, and I miss being ratty. That is probably the reason that my M3 is still bone stock. When cars are classy, i think the in between stages of a build don't look good or aren't rewarding because the final product needs to be perfection. A rat doesn't need perfection, it needs creativity. You can't half-ass something classy and be proud...

I'm tired of changing little things that cost money that my friends can't even notice. Hopefully I will love my car more in the next few weeks, but right now I wish I still had that old beater of a jetta...
