E-level sensor problem. This car is done, I should scrap it.

I've had it back for a week now and it's doing great. No issues with the car or suspension in these frigid temperatures. I'm glad to have it back, as driving 100 miles a day in the miata was really getting to me... I would expect this car to stay on its winter wheels until next spring. The plan is headliner, wheels, and paint. (Not necessarily in that order) If my plans do change it will only be timing, but I plan on driving this car until I can't anymore, unless someone wants to buy it someday. It's currently just shy of 170,000 and maybe had another 150,000 miles left in it. I am planning on reducing my commute, so I have no clue how long that will take me. The plan after that is probably a TDI beetle or two door golf.

Worn cam and lifters... I guess its common in 2006 TDIs with reasonable milage for a TDI... Mine is around 170,000..

Motor is running great! The issue now is that the compressors wont compress, and therefor my jetta is grounded for the time being. Everything on the system seems to be working besides the compressors. They don't kick on when I cycle the key, but they kick on for one second when I try the accuair auto calibration...

...It might just be the top end, so I'll risk a rebuild and hopefully it will be as good as new, or close.

"worth" probably not, but hey do you really care?

should you change either BRM but say that the CBEA/CJAA might be better (dunno how law is over there)

or go crazy and put the 2015 gtd engine in it :p ( CRU(A))

My engine either needs a serious overhaul or it needs a new one... the question is, is it worth it?

It might be time for a new headliner. Anyone know someone in the CT area that would do a good job? I'm thinking of using tweed fabric.
