Well today I got the car off the ramps, moved it over a little and got the passenger side up on the ramps.

Decided to start on the rear light I will not be running.

Made a patch for the hole.

Got the patch cleaned up and was a perfect fit. So ready to weld.

All welded in a ground down to flat. Also filled the two little holes on each side of it.

Then got to the rocker and got one patch made and tacked in.

Tomorrow I just need to grind that down and make another little patch. Thankfully this rocker is no where near as bad as the drivers side. Hopefully later this week I can get started on the spare tire well.

    • Damn, judging by the work you're doing this is gonna turn out perfect. But it has to be slammed

I was talking to my dad earlier and he said "damn you are spending alot of time on the rockers." I said, "yeah I know and if it goes as low as I want it to, they will be trashed in a week."

          • Any job worth doing is worth doing right. This is right.

Actually as much time as I will have invested in this car I think I will probably crank the coils up for trips. I know thats the wussy way to do it but this car is my baby.

              • this is a very impressive project. Much attention to detail. It makes light of how many cars you see out there that probably just get a new paint job an call it a day without actually digging below the surface and really take care of the hidden problems. The tortoise wins the race in the end. Keep it up.

So I have worked on some other stuff since my last post but this is just the interesting stuff.

After grinding and picking on some rust on the fender I ended up with this.

I was too messed up just cover with filler and too much of a pain to fill with weld so I cut it out.

                    Tacked in the patch.

Then finished welding and ground it down, I still have a little more to clean up but its done for the most part.

So that means that the rockers are done, and I am stoked.

While laying down working on the rocker I noticed a little rusty area on the floor board. It looked like a bad repair job.

So I picked at it a little bit with a screw driver and hit it with the grinder, and ended up with this.

I decided to just suck it up and do what needed to be done.

I need to make a patch now and clean up some of the tar and stuff so I dont catch the car on fire when I weld it in. This car just keeps getting more and more fun.

                      Small update today.

Fixed that hole in the floor.

Doesnt look like much but it was a ton of work. Need to do a little more welding and then grind down the welds tomorrow. After that a little body sealer and some under coating on both sides.

Not too much. I am going to pull up the driver side carpet tomorrow just to check. If there is nothing there, I have a spot in the trunk and then weld in the spare well and I should be done with welding for a little while.

I wouldnt go as far as to say that. I will get it covered and undercoated before anyone sees it.

                                But thanks man.
