So, JDO went down a storm at UD! Was really nice to hear some feedback of various people, was massively surprised with the amount of attention it got!!

Awesome weekend, met some awesome people, great to kick of the season so well.

Little Hudson wanted to come along!!!

The squad at the services... Bills mint bagged Scirrocco, Andy's super clean JCW Mini, Pat's Lupo sporting my old Turbines, and Jack's super tidy 318i

Parked up for the night to get a spot....

Got a great spot by the entrance in the morning too!

Of course some comedian had me over...

Awesome weekend. Can't wait for early Edition to meet a load of you all!

So, JDO is on the road at last, passed his MOT on Monday after being refused from one garage...

I'm very very happy with the overall look of JDO now, i just need my rear arches flaring slightly, and a drivers side chassis notch so i can get it a bit lower...

    GTI is now low too...

Trust me, i **** the wheels just as much as everyone else does.

    So, JDO is 95% complete.

As you can imagine, i'm insanely happy with how it looks. Few little bits that need sorting, such as the bumper fit on the front and my side decals, but it should be going on the road next weekend. Hat's off to Dave for sorting the bodywork, he's done a fantastic job of it!

Oh it's a whole new world mate hahaha, smile everytime i go out in it, upset so many people at traffic lights in it 😂 Still love the 1.0's tho, great fun and still return 280 miles to a tank if you drive it flat out everywhere 😂

    Update time!

Beacon has his MOT on Saturday, flew through it! Had him on the road 4 day now, man i love it. What an amazing car.

Currently in boring winter spec... coilovers arrive this week

However, this is now my new hobby. It's really not cheap to run!

Sadly, this means i will have to sell the Swagon, shame really as i've loved it.

    Anyway, onto the main car!!

So, the body work has been painted this morning, hopefully ready for collection tomorrow. I've taken my Cambridge decals off as i've had some new ones arrive, slightly different font and colour this time! I've replaced the wheel centers for green instead of red, wired and plumed in the washer system, and tucked away all the wiring associated with the washer/sub. Looks really fresh now!

My lotus inspired badges are on the car to go with the retro theme, and all of the inside of the car is back together. Oh, i've also sawed off the back box and welded on a straight pipe, so it's now quite loud...

So hopefully tomorrow evening, it'l look like this.

I'll keep y'all posted, thanks for reading

I've always wanted a Lupo GTI.

So i bought a brother for JDO today.

95k, Full service history, and 3 owners. Owned by the same woman for the past 7 years. Going to be a lovely new daily.
Coil overs and rims is the plan, clean and simple.

Those seats you have aren't that hard to peel the fabric off from. I'm thinking about the possibilities of "stealing" the gti-fabric in the middle and making it fit in your current seats. So you don't need to bother about the airbag-issue in the seats.. I'm not sure how it is in the uk models, but here in Sweden "airbaged" seats comes as standard.
I like your thinking Funnily i've had the same idea, but replacing it with Fresco green fabric instead, and no, i don't think any of the UK cars have airbags in the seats lol! Glad you've said it's easy tho!!
