Cant wait to see how this turns outs, mate are you gonna incorporate the VW badge into the Arosa grill or just de-badge it completely?

Annoyingly, my phone hasn't saved the photo i took with the wings test fitted. Slam panel is being swapped today, everything can now be fitted bar the bonnet, i sadly forgot to pick up the bonnet hinges when i got the front end!

    Any for sale at all?

So, i've finally made a start on stripping down the front end. All fairly easy jobs, nice way to spend part of the weekend.

Bumper, valance and indicator panel off,

Headlamps can then be taken out, followed by the crash beam and bumper location panel, these are different on the Arosa so will be swapped.

Crash beam and headlamps off, inner arches off and all related bolts taken off to allow the wings to be removed. COuldn't get them off owever as the two bottom bolts that hold the wing in are bloody phillips heads?! So they've been rounded off as i expected to happen... a job for another day

So, hopefully this week, we'll have the arosa front end on!

    Christ, what a busy weekend!

Aside from my normal car related things, i stumbled into an abandoned RAF base..

I also picked up the front end for JDO, had planned to start this week but i've just started a new course at college so have been stuck for time...

Happily however, it take not even an hour to take the front end off. This will be a nice little swap

So, JDO's currently looking very sorry for himself.

I should hopefully get chance to start stripping him down this weekend, this'l then allow me to test fit the new panels and swap over the front slam panel to fit the Arosa headlamps and indicators..

I've just bought the front end off this Arosa, looks fairly straight and cost me peanuts, looking forward to having a play and making JDO one hard looking car

So, JDO is now off the road.

I'll be beginning the rebuild next week, beginning with a strip down and clean.

Big plans for this. It'l be remaining static, but everything else is changing.....

In other news, it was E38 the weekend just gone, I had finally dropped the arse end of JDO, and jheez does it look better.
