I think some people really lack vision, and you sir, are not one of them. It seems hard for people to comprehend that something out of the ordinary, unsafe if you will is going to be cool and intriguing to them. It's like they're scared to accept that they'll like something different. Ultimately they just don't see the potential that you and many others see in doing something this wild.

I, for one, am right on board and can't wait to see how this all gets executed. Big-ups to doing something different and not giving any fucks.

Looks interesting. That motor is going to "grow" significantly in the forward direction by the time you bolt on the front cover, balance, accessories, and finally radiator/condenser/support. Gonna cut the firewall? How is the trans going to fit in to all this?

FYI an LS1/LS6 intake will be shortest, and Corvette accessories will hug the front of the block most closely!

Oh yea I need to get all that on before I make motor mounts. Hopefully have mounts made this weekend. The firewall is gonna have to go under some major cutting.

I was gonna try a ls3 water pump and I'm not sure what oil pump and everything in gonna use. I think I'm gonna have to do a dry sump setup so I can have more clearance on the subframe and steering rack.

I'm all new to Chevy so all this is new to me so thanks for the tips!

Thanks so much man!! This gives me the push to just keep chopping and get stuff done. The goal right now is to get the engine built and mounted and get all the electrical done so I can atleast see this thing running in the bay. Haven't decided on a tranny or rear end for sure yet so I'm still keeping my eyes open

Also I wanna do a more custom wide body and go wider the. The flares. This is a horrible mockup but some thing kinda like this.

I'm gonna have a go at making these again that hopefully turn out better. The final thing will be metal if I go through with this idea

These motors are cake compared to most Ive messed around with. I think the thinest oil pan without going dry sump is gonna be a corvette. Its a wider lower profile. Gto pans are used in a lot of swaps but with yours being this custom i have no idea how it would fit lol. I recommend a t56 as far as trans goes but they come with a hefty price tag and are quite large.

Wiring the harness to be a stand alone is pretty straight forward too, it can seem overwhelming at first but take it step by step and youll be surprised.

LS1tech will be you best bet for any random info you need, or what works best with what. Im sure they'd love to see a build thread as well lol.

Im looking forward to see how this turns out! LS all things!!

Thanks for posting that! I was gonna order mirrors like that but have never seen them in a Jetta but wasn't quite sure.

My official name for this build is now the GT3 Jetta

Thanks I'll take a look at those pans. My main problem is most pans have the sump in the back and that's right where my subframe and rack is. I'm doing some research on dry sumps as that would be awesome but the price is quite large. I wanna do stuff right so I don't mind waiting a little longer to do things right.

Harness I'm not to scared about. I had made a full "mil spec" harness for the 1.8t in my old Jetta. But I'm not claiming to be great at wiring either, I'm really good at messing up simple things 😂

Haha I could make another build thread but I have a hard time keeping this one, the vortex one, and my ig updated 😜

Thanks for the support everyone. Might start chopping tomorrow, if I do I'll post pics! ✌🏼
