i got it sitting where i wanted with the drive shaft connected and shifter where it needed to be so i could build a tranny mount and some jigs for the motor mounts:
and the other weekend i picked it up from a friends house where its been for a while and i was going to bring it up to Castro motorsport but then i was influenced by my girlfriend telling me not to spend that much money on something i could do and my father telling me it was easy so i started wiring myself:
thanks guys.
i have everything ready to go but i realized i the starter for the auto m3 and cannot find the starter that fits the e30 flywheel that i have!!!! i am so close
I've been working all day and realized i can't find the starter i need to get it started so i have a friend picking up my a start for me at auto zone so while i wait i figure ill do a little update. this is a photo of where i am at:
Liking it so far, wouldve been nice if you cleaned up the bay while the engine was out though
i am just going to get it running right now and after i get the exhaust work done it is coming back to the house and i am going to get all the mounts I'm not using grinded or cut off and then i am going to get the wiring cleaned up and a fresh coat of paint in there. definitely not leaving it all nasty in there.
i never understood why people went through all the work for a motor swap and in the end it looks worse than factory
