Will this car be making it to any shows this year?
Of course! I'm planning for Water by the Bridge, Euro District, Vlnt Klinic, IA summer meet, and Import Face Off. As soon as I see a car show event come up on facebook I add it to my calendar
Big update!... but only a few pics . Start on the install yesterday with the wiring of the harness and controller. No pictures really, the controller will come through the center console and I will cut out a small slot on the edge of the console so I can lay the wire in it to keep the controller in the cup holder.
Got the front bags in for sure tonight
Not sure how I'm going to mount the leader line. I have some insulated rubber clamps but the placement is still up in the air.
I got the rear bags mocked up and then assembled, and the rear Koni Yellow shocks are in for good. The bags aren't in yet because I needed to basically glue the threaded rods on top into the bag.
Got the ECS skid plate. I wasn't sure what to expect but it's pretty beefy so I'm happy . My brother had a MK4 vr6 GTI and hit the oil pan and didn't realize it so he seized his engine (not ready for the low life). That got me kinda paranoid so I figured I'd rather play it safe than sorry!
Rear bags and the rear end will be back together tomorrow, then I'll start on the air line routing!! I've got some ideas in my mind about how to go about it so we'll see how that works out for me

Awesome! looks like i'll be seeing this thing at least a couple times this year.
I still need to wait a bit to see how well my fittings and connections were, but so far it works flawlessly!!! It's a bit floaty due to the settings of the shocks but I really don't mind it. I still need to figure out what i want my presets to be.
Monday I will hopefully get an alignment and the tires mounted, then I'll put some more pics. Until then

Booty
Finally got the wheels and tires put together, along with the RollHard banner put on by Dream Wraps USA.
Unfortunately the sway bar gets in the way of the LCA, so when I air out it doesn't go suuuper low, and I can't get the brackets on the struts so I can't use shortened links to raise the bar a little bit
So here's the last picture on steelies
aaaaaand the new wheels!!
The fitment really is spot on, the tires kinda rests on the fender liner which I don't mind, it doesn't appear like its gonna rip it out or anything.
I need to get the alignment redone for the new wheels so I'll see about them adding some camber so it could possibly go lower when I cut the bump stops a bit more.
Hey guys. There really isn't much going on with my car recently, but I figured I would share the small stuff that I've done in the past month or so
To start off, my car finally got it's first oil change! Once I got my car back, the service adviser told me about how my strut was coming out of the spindle on the front driver's side. Apparently I didn't tighten it down enough or some other reason, but it was only held in there about an inch and a half... cue panic and a rush home to fix it and got it all sorted out. I got to school afterwards and when I aired out, I realized my driver side was finally tucking tire .
And then it dawned on me, it was time for a frame notch. Called a few people and finally got in contact with someone locally and he fixed me up in about 2 hours for a pretty legit deal. Didn't get pics of it
A little bit before that, curbed the sh*t out of the wheel
so that's about it! I still need to trim the rear bumpstops to tuck the wheel a bit in the rear, then she will be sitting just how I want to. I eventually plan to get a PDR treatment because I've counted 5 dents now, and I notice them every. single. time. I walk to my car.
Here's a pretty picture I took at my grandparents house today
Been a while since I've updated, but I don't really get a lot of replies to this so I may just stick to instagram
Washed the car with a buddy with another mk6
So I curbed the wheel, got it refinished but of course the powder coat didn't match, so I had the other 3 redone in the same color. Like the next day someone offered me a deal I couldn't pass up, so now I'm cruise on the steelies until the new wheels come
Got pulled over for my euro plate so now I'm just running the KY plate on the euro frame with zipties, so I can switch them out for shows and what not
Finally got around to taking out the bumpstops so the rear is officially maxed out
