My motivation is up to the sky, as long as the body shop doesn't kill it with their stupid turn times. Which is slowly happening.

You keep it up too on that douchebag vehicle, this comes from a mexican redneck camaro owner. High 21!

Haha I sprinted to the car when I saw the box but there is no seat, and to be honest. I may change the interior

Yup, nothing like a freshly painted car to get your motivation back.

It was on a junkyard on the border, it was a US car.

So after much debating with my insufferable wallet I took decision.

    We are Facelifting.

Now I obviously went to bimmerforums and started searching for part out cars and of course I I found 2 DIRT CHEAP options on Panjo and immediately messaged the sellers.

No replies!... I guess thats what you get when you don't know that the ads were posted a year ago.

So I turned to google and added the keyword "Mexico" to the search.

    It worked.

Found a yard on the borderline with this:

Yes I know it looks like shit but beats having to import it from the States.
I have to buy new headlights because those ones got xenon raped, will work for mock up.

    I got parts! tihiwewww~

Went over to give the good news to NCO and to see my car in the flesh in a long time.

It was dark so pictures are grainy... vintage style?

    Someone call the bondo police!

Look at this rocker panel... Classy

Here is a hit spot on the B pillar, they have not gone up on it neither have pulled it straight yet ... *body shop timelines. I don't know how they make any money....

Car got blocked all around like 2 weeks ago, a layer of dust already covers the whole car, including the interior... which bothers me... a lot.

I will pay for all the parts tomorrow so wish me luck so I don't get scammed and actually receive parts

It does look nice with the current front, however the facelift makes all the difference to me. I would definitely do it. I've passed on 3 that weren't facelifted
    ...and I don't regret it

Thanks everyone for sharing your opinion. I truly appreciate it.

    Christian:

There are 3 kinds of people that ask for opinions.

1 - Asks because wants to brag about what he is doing.
2 - Genuinely have no idea what to do because he is lost in this world.
3 - Most of us. Why? because when we want to do something that we know we should not do for any particular reason but there is the option to do it we need that extra push of common approval or disapproval to finally pull the trigger. Like when you show your friends the wheels you want to buy that you donīt really need because the ones you have are totally fine.

I want to facelift the car, I just like it more, yet I should not make the extra expense because there is no real benefit on it other than looking newer (for me) and no one else would notice. Hence my terrible decision making drama.

    Story:

I participated on a "self knowing" exercise back at when I was 19. Most people got challenges like, you have to dress like a woman and walk 10 blocks or dress poorly and ask for money on the street, stuff like that.

My challenge was to go to a store and decide between 2 bags of chips. No kidding. Everyone was like WTF.

So I went to the store with my witness, grabbed two bags of chips and asked myself, which ones?

After a moment I left the store with 2 bags of chips. Failed miserably. Why? Because I could. I had the money for both, why not both? Excuse of my brain to not make a decision.

They knew me too well. And I still deal with that crap every other time I have to take a decision with spending money on useless crap that I want.

I am undecided. What lamsv said is correct, on the other hand the faclift was done beautifully too. It was brought closer to the look of the E46.

I think you could do a lot simply by painting the lower part of the car (sideskirts, bottom of both bumpers) in the body colour and choosing the right wheels. Then it would look a lot like the facelifted version.

Sorry, this thing of being on stanceworks makes me think everyone is a BMW expert, my mistake.

Here, crappy picture so you don't get biased on overall look.
