The missis had one as a stop gap daily for a while, with mk3 golf colour concept recaros in.
Ive got some nice like 15s that would suit this rely well
Thanks man, the low costs are a good thing for me for sure seeing as I'm not made of money.
What wheels are they? I'm very keen on getting this thing on some new wheels
QUICK UPDATE
So I tested some of my Auto Finesse stuff last week. Real good stuff, smell like a dream too.
Didn't get a change to try out the wax and polish as it got dark (typical.)
Then last weekend I ordered some Heko wind deflectors and some gloss black vinyl.
The wind deflectors came on Tuesday, I'm going to pick up the vinyl tomorrow.
I must say, with these installed my visibility is way worse and the windows fog up a bit more, also the wind noise isin't really reduced when I have the windows open.
But they look mint so it's all good guys!
I've got a pretty cool update coming up soon (if I can make my idea work) so look forward to that guys I'll see ya then

Cheers geeze, wheels look real nice but I'm afraid you're quite a bit away and can't afford the extra £40 shipping. Also I can tell they are waaay out of my budget haha
I didn't like the way the interior was so bland, and I know the GTI 6n2s have gloss black accents around the cabin.
With this in mind I decided to buy myself a roll of black vinyl and go give wrapping a crack to replicate that GTI interior (sort of kind of )
I want to cover the air vents on the left and right, the center console and a stripe across the top of my insrtument cluster (the GTIs have this part.)
So typically, I didnt have the right screwdriver to take the air vents off, but I was so keen on getting a bit of vinyl wrapping practice that I searched all over my cabin for some trim to pop out and wrap haha
I ended up taking the lower center console apart (I wanted to do this part anyway to match the top piece)
I could easily remove this part with a flat head screwdriver.
The piece was flat and had bits I needed to cut out from inside, making it perfect for someone like me to learn on.
I brought the piece home, cut out the needed bit of vinyl and got cracking
I peeled the vinyl onto the piece with the help of my friend and using the sharp blade I cut out the inside pieces.
I then used a hairdryer to make the fabric flimsy enough to bend in and stick down.
This was much more straight forward than I thought it'd be
With that sorted, the piece simply clicked back into place.
The pic shows up all my fingerprints cause I used a flash, obviously these arent seen unless you flash a light at it.
Overall I'm very chuffed with it, exactly what I wanted.
Gonna order the set of screwdrivers needed off eBay and get cracking with the rest of the interior ASAP, I'll post pics and fingers crossed I won't bump into any problems.
This whole wrapping thing is waay more fun than I thought

SO hyped to see this! I love interior work and I am also just learning about all of this. It's so fun! Especially because my school gives me crazy amounts of tools and support to do projects. If you any need any wood work done in there I can lazer you out some interior bits and send them to you for just the cost of shipping. This is coming along nicely. DO you have an Instagram Mehowski? If so follow me on it @666evan we can link up and maybe get you some stuff for free
The cars been driving nicely and I'm happy to report the weather is getting nicer
Happy days
So I debaged the rear
before
after
then an exciting package arrived, oh so very exciting
New GTI grill (without the badge because I'm not even going to try to pretend haha)
Looks so much better, basically a different front end.
I'm currently on the look out for the GTI front splitter and GTI rear spoiler to finish it all off.
Going to try and source the oem 16v badge to slot into the grill, will be a pain in the arse but it'll be worth it.
Heres a better before and after comparison
v v chuffed with it
Also, paint on my roof is coming off so gonna grab a can of my paint and get it fixed up asap

cheers geeze
ig is @mehow6n2 I'll be in touch there
Interior is not done simply cause i cant find enough time to finish it and wrapping all the bits and bobs is a pain in the arse
Glad to see you're still pottering along with this! Always had a soft spot for the 6n2's. I may know of a set of 16" banded steels for sale for £130-150 quid with 8.5 front and 9.5 rears. Not sure if they're of any interest to you, just mentioning and I can get in touch with my mate about them if you are! Don't think he's in any rush to sell them so you'll have plenty of time
